The sacrifice they always do, and only animals

Tuesday, November 16 will take place all over the world the traditional "party" Islamic of Sacrifice (Eid-Al-Adha), an event that recalls the most famous biblical episode of the "Sacrifice of Abraham" and during which millions will be killed without prior stunning of sheep, goats and cattle. We go first
stressed the obligation for the Muslim community to meet the sanitary laws in force, the sacrifice can only be performed in public or in areas set up slaughterhouses open for the occasion and under the supervision of veterinarians. Any form of illegal slaughter carried out outside of authorized facilities is a crime in the same way that animal abuse is a crime. This concept on the other hand should also remember that many of Trentino with great tranquility raised and slaughtered in the backyard, thanks to the shallowness of those who should have the power to punish and prevent prevent such situations. Even

Ezzedin el-Zir, president of the Union of Islamic Communities in Italy (UCOII), has launched an appeal against the illegal slaughtering of lambs, "The traditional slaughter of sheep - said el-Zir - must be done scrupulously compliance hygiene standards and conditions that govern the matter. Outside of these rules you are exposed to health risks as well as the seizure of meat and administrative sanctions "

We then have to make to reflect the findings of the National Committee for Bioethics:

" The fact that particular conduct constitutes a manifestation of religious freedom does not automatically make it lawful or morally acceptable. Religious freedom, when transferred to external behaviors, must comply with certain restrictions, in particular those concerning the protection of the rights and freedoms of others, public order, the health and public morals: in this context is also important attention verso i bisogni di quei particolari “pazienti morali” che sono gli animali, in quanto destinatari passivi di obblighi giuridici e morali da parte degli uomini.
