How To Rigg A Model Sailing Boat?

The risk of rabies is not finished

Sivelp. The risk and anger 'over ... 11/02/2010

We found no new cases for a little over a month and a half, but we can not say anger out by the emergency. This is the message that SIVELP (Italian Vets Freelancers Union) wants to address to all pet owners. The existing law imposes an obligation to be vaccinated and maintain coverage with the required calls, usually 11 months after the first inoculation. The boundaries of the area at the time identified as an area at risk, have not changed. The Freelancers' Union recalls that prophylaxis is mandatory for dogs and cats also recommended, especially in areas where the disease showed the highest number of deaths. Rabies fact, though, and then spread by direct contact with a speed much lower than other diseases (such as influenza) is a potential risk to the public, being transmitted to humans and, unfortunately, invariably fatal if not treated immediately after infection (55,000 deaths per year)

The fourth campaign for the oral vaccination of foxes in the province of Trento began on November 22 last year. In the western Trentino vaccine baits will be distributed from Monday, November 29.

According to the order of the President of the Provincial Council of 29 July, the dogs must be kept under closely monitored by these dates and in the fifteen days following the end of the distribution of the baits, which ends on December 10 in eastern Trentino and until December 14 in the west. All dogs that circulate in our province should still be vaccinated against rabies at least 21 days.

This is the fourth vaccination campaign of foxes carried out in Trentino after the reappearance of rabies in northern Italy: the first, which covered the territory east of the Adige river, began on December 27 last year and ended the ' January 11, the second and third, extended throughout the province, took place between April and June and between August and September.

From January 1, 2010 To date eight cases have been reported positive for rabies in foxes in our province (Mazzin, Campitello di Fassa, Transacqua, Mezzano and Canazei), five in the province of Bolzano, 181 in Veneto and Friuli Venezia 14 in Giulia.Sono involved in the campaign vaccine, in addition to the Province of Trento, Autonomous Province of Bolzano and the regions Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
